About

ABOUT: Tim Morehouse Fencing Club - West Side (Established 2016)

Tim Morehouse Fencing Club (TMFC) West Side is the first club opened by Olympic Silver Medalist Tim Morehouse in 2016. Situated on the 2nd and 3rd floors of the community building of the Young Israel West Side Shul, this club has become a cornerstone of the Upper West Side community.

As a lifelong New Yorker and Upper West Side resident, Tim Morehouse sought to create a local club where he once trained as a child at the New York Fencers Club when it was located on 73rd Street between Broadway and Amsterdam. With a friend's advice to explore the area for hidden gems, Tim wandered the West Side until he discovered the perfect spot at 210 West 91st Street.

Since its founding, TMFC West Side has rapidly established itself as one of the premier fencing clubs in the country. Serving a diverse community of students from the West Side, the club has produced numerous champions. Students from the early years have gone on to win world championships, attend Ivy League schools, and achieve numerous national and international titles and medals. Tim Morehouse's vision and dedication have turned TMFC West Side into a beacon of excellence in the fencing world.
