Begin your fencing journey at Tim Morehouse Fencing Club (TMFC) with a personalized trial lesson!

For those interested in joining TMFC, we recommend starting with a trial lesson. This one-on-one session is perfect for beginners—our expert coaches will introduce you to the fundamentals of fencing, and our team will guide you through the various training programs available.

Trial Details:

• Duration: 20 minutes

• Cost: $40

• Equipment: None required—we provide everything!

• What to bring: Just wear athletic clothing and arrive 10-15 minutes early to complete paperwork and get fitted for your gear.

Exception: You can sign up for our school holiday and summer day camps without a trial lesson, as we offer beginner groups in all camp programs.

Preparing For YOUR FIRST FENCING LESSON

Our experienced instructors eagerly await to introduce you to the art and sport of fencing, guiding you through fundamental techniques and etiquette. Whether you're in Stamford, CT, Manhattan's Upper West Side, or our new Midtown East location, we provide a welcoming environment for beginners to thrive. TRIAL LESSON OVERVIEW 
Trial Lessons at TM-FC are $40 and are approximately 20 minutes of one-on-one time with one of our trained coaches. The trials also serve as an assessment for our staff so we can suggest the best program options with you. 

ARRIVAL: Try to arrive 10-15 minutes before the time of your trial so you can sign our waiver, complete any necessary paperwork, get sized for equipment and also to spend some time getting to know our facility. 

ANSWERING YOUR QUESTIONS: After the trial, one of our staff members will discuss our program options with you and answer any questions that you have about our programs. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED TO BRING: The person taking trial will need to wear long athletic pants, sneakers and an athletic shirt. You don't need any fencing equipment, but if you have personal equipment and you'd like to use it, you are more than welcome to do so.
