The Experience

This Isn't Just a Fencing Camp

The College Coaches & Olympians Sleep-Away Camp brings together the country's top college coaches, Olympic athletes, and elite competitors for two weeks of immersive, high-performance training. Athletes don't just train — they live, eat, and breathe fencing alongside the people who define the sport.

  1. Ivy League College Days

Themed days with coaches from Harvard, Columbia, Princeton, and Cornell. Real insight into collegiate programs, training philosophies, and the recruiting pathway.

  2. Olympian-Led Training

Multiple daily sessions coached by Olympic medalists and national team members. Every touch, every drill, every correction from the absolute best in the sport.

  3. National Competition Pool

Train alongside athletes from Zeta Fencing, Cali Fencing, and top clubs nationwide. Deep, diverse, and nationally competitive sparring partners every day.

  4. Find Your Superpower

Our coaching philosophy identifies and builds on each athlete's unique strengths. Building on what you do best is as important as fixing what you don't.

Questions

Frequently Asked

What ages can attend?

The camp serves youth through senior-level fencers. Age groupings include Youth (8–9, 10–11), Young Teen (12–13), and Cadet/Junior/Senior divisions. Campers must be at least 12 by January 1, 2026 to stay in the dorms. Younger athletes (birth years 2014–2015) are welcome as commuters, and there are many affordable hotels near the campus.

What weapons are offered each session?

Session 1 (Aug 2–9) covers all three weapons: saber, foil, and epee. Session 2 (Aug 9–16) is saber only, offering intensive pre-season preparation for dedicated saber fencers.

Is this camp only for elite fencers?

No. While the coaching staff is world-class, the camp has groupings for elite, competitive, and intermediate fencers. Youth fencers will find tailored programming for their level alongside the more advanced training groups.

Are the dorms air-conditioned?

Yes. Campers stay in the newly built Patterson/Scully building, which is fully air-conditioned. The main fencing hall is also air-conditioned and features sport court flooring with extra cushioning under the metal strips.

What is the refund policy?

A $750 camp deposit is required and will be deducted from your total if you request a refund before June 1. Between June 1 and July 15, a 50% refund is available. After July 15, no refunds are issued as full payments to the school will have been made for all registered campers.

Is the camp accredited?

Yes. The camp is American Camp Association (ACA) accredited. Both Camp Directors — Olympic Silver Medalist Tim Morehouse and Harvard Head Coach Daria Schneider — are ACA-certified camp directors with years of experience running camps and training experiences for athletes from Olympic level to youth.

Can I attend both sessions?

Absolutely. Many athletes attend both weeks. Register for each session separately. Contact info@timmorehousefencing.com for multi-session pricing inquiries.
