Austin, TX (December, 2019) - Fencers from Tim Morehouse Fencing Club headed to The Austin Challenge SYC and RCC. The tournament took place over three days, and our fencers participated in eight distinct events. They were supported by Coach Michael Kim throughout the events. TMFC Fencers brought home one Gold Medal, one Silver Medal, two Bronze Medals, and four Top-8 Medals.

Richard Li, Shaun Kim, and Gabriella Alfarache each won two Medals at this tournament. Richard Li won a Gold Medal in Youth-12 Men's Foil, and a Silver Medal in Youth-14 Men's Foil. Shaun Kim won a Top-8 Medal in Cadet Men's Saber and earned his E19 in this category. He also won a Top-8 Medal in Youth-12 Men's Saber. Gabriella Alfarache won a Bronze Medal in Youth-14 Women's Saber, and a Top-8 Medal in Cadet Women's Saber.

Furthermore, Gabriel McCarthy won a Bronze Medal in Youth-12 Men's Saber, and Charlotte Young won a Top-8 Medal in Youth-12 Women's Saber.

This was the first SYC for two of our fencers - Ella De Marval, and Daria Fry. Ella participated in Y-14 Women’s Saber, and Daria participated in Y-12 and Y-14 Women’s Saber.

Hawthorne, NY (December 2019) - Nine fencers from Tim Morehouse Competed in the Junior and Cadet events at the 2020 WestRock Junior Olympic Qualifiers. They were supported throughout the competition by Coach Daniel Bass. Our fencers brought fierce competition, winning ten medals at this tournament.

Caroline Slaski brought home two Gold Medals at this competition - a Gold Medal in Cadet Women's Foil, and a Gold Medal in Junior Women's Foil. Alexandra Wong won two Bronze Medals, in both Cadet Women's Epee and Junior Women's Epee. Peyton Schales also won two Bronze Medals in Cadet and Junior Men's Foil.

Additionally, Eduardo Ruigomez won a Gold Medal in Cadet Men's Saber, Alexandra McKee won a Silver Medal in Junior Women's Foil, Scotland Jenkins won a Silver Medal in Junior Women's Saber, and Nickolas Rusadze won a Silver Medal in Cadet Men's Foil.

Boston, MA (December 2019) - Tim Morehouse Fencing Club students headed to the Boston Fencing Club RYC, a two-day tournament with 18 events in Foil, Epee, and Saber. Our fencers achieved awesome results on the fencing strip, bringing home two Silver Medals, three Bronze Medals, and one Top-8 Medal.

Our fencers won six Medals altogether. Avni Krishna won a Silver Medal in Youth-10 Women's Epee, and Inkosi Brou won a Silver Medal in Youth-12 Men's Saber. Bronze Medal wins were achieved by Gabriel McCarthy in Youth-12 Men's Saber, Shaun Kim in Youth-14 Men's Saber, and Catalina Berrios in Youth-10 Women's Saber. Lastly, Sunhi Henderson won a Top-8 Medal in Youth-10 Women's Saber.

Moedling, Austria (December 2019) - Tim Morehouse fencers competed in the ECC Sabre Moedling 2019, a two-day Cadet International tournament. Our fencers achieved great results, including two Top-16 finishes. They were accompanied by our coaches Tim Morehouse and Chris Cheney. This is the largest squad we’ve ever yielded at a Cadet International event. We had five fencers total competing, with three fencers in Cadet Women’s Saber, and two fencers in Cadet Men’s Saber.

All three of our Cadet Women’s Saber fencers finished in the Top-64. This was Adele Bois’ first Cadet International tournament, and she achieved an impressive Top-16 result. Adele came in 15th place out of 170 fencers. Madison Four-Garcia also achieved a strong Top-16 result in Cadet Women’s Saber, finishing in 11th place. Chelsea Delsoin came in 40th place in this category.

In Cadet Men’s Saber, Lysander Denner fenced into the Top-64, coming in 42nd place out of 177 fencers. Peter Hammer finished in 136th place.

Bethany Lee won a Top-8 Medal in Junior Women's Foil, coming in 8th place our of 45 fencers. In Cadet Men's Epee, Connor Kravit came in 6th place out of 58 fencers, bringing home a Top-8 Medal. Lastly, Richard Lin won a Top-8 Medal in Junior Men's Foil, coming in 5th place out of 90 fencers.

Salt Lake City, UT (December, 2019) - Fencers from Tim Morehouse Fencing Club participated in the North American Cup, a four-day national tournament featuring Veteran, Div-1, and Div-2 events. TMFC fencers brought home three medals and achieved three Top-16 finishes. They were accompanied by Coaches Michael and Fati.

This was an exciting tournament for our Veteran fencers. Jasmina Denner won a Silver Medal in Vet-50 Women's Saber, and Madelon Rosenfeld won a Top-8 Medal in Vet-70 Women's Foil. Additionally, Ron Miller achieved a Top-16 finish in Vet-70 Men's Saber.

TMFC fencers Fito Western and Jonah Shainberg competed in Division 1 Men’s Saber. TMFC won the last Division 1 NAC in this category, and our fencers achieved impressive results this round as well. Fito achieved a Top-16 finish, coming in 9th place. Jonah Shainberg came in 21st place out of 93 fencers.

Lastly, our foil students achieved a Bronze Medal win and a Top-16 result. Christina Ferrari achieved a Top-16 finish in Division 1 Women's Foil, defeating an Olympian and finishing in 13th place out of 137 fencers. Matthew Breier won a Bronze Medal in Division 2 Men's Foil.

Sosnowiec, Poland (December, 2019) - TMFC Fencers Nicka Lortkipanidze, Henry Nadile, and Peter Hammer competed in the Junior World Cup. They participated in the Junior Men’s Saber event, achieving great results on the fencing strip.

Henry Nadile placed in 81st, and Peter Hammer placed in 91st out of 147 international fencers. Nicka Lortkipanidze fenced into the Top-32, finishing in an impressive 25th place.

Maplewood, NJ (December, 2019) - Fencers from Tim Morehouse Fencing Club competed in the NJFA RJCC & RYC, a three-day tournament with events in Foil, Epee, and Saber. Our students brought home 14 Medals, including one Gold Medal, three Silver Medals, three Bronze Medals, and seven Top-8 Medals. They were supported throughout the tournament by our amazing coaches Kendall, Ben, and Diana.

This was a notable tournament for our Y-12 Men’s Saber fencers, who brought home three medals in this category. Inkosi Brou won a Silver Medal, and Gabriel McCarthy won a Bronze Medal. Robert Wang finished in 5th place, winning a Top-8 Medal.

Several TMFC Fencers achieved multiple medal wins. Connor Kravit won two Silver Medals in Junior Men's Epee, and Cadet Men's Epee. Iris Yang won a Bronze Medal in Youth-10 Women's Foil, and a Top-8 Medal in Youth-12 Women's Foil. Gabriel McCarthy won a Bronze Medal in Youth-12 Men's Saber, and a Top-8 Medal in Cadet Men's Saber.
