King of Prussia, PA (April, 2021) - Foil and Epee students of Tim Morehouse Fencing Club competed in the American Challenge RYC/RJCC, a jam packed two-day tournament at Valley Forge Casino Resort. Our fencers participated in many different competitions, achieving great results on the fencing strip. They were accompanied by Coaches Achiko, Sara, Maksim and Chris throughout the events.

Our fencers accomplished awesome results, achieving five medal wins altogether. Our students won one Bronze Medal, four Top-8 Medals, and seven placements in Top-16.

Notably, Mia Guo won a Bronze Medal in Y-10 Women’s Foil. Jonah Lee won two Top-8 Medals in Y-12 and Y-14 Men’s Foil Jackson Wong won a Top-8 Medal in Y-12 Men’s Foil. Emily Gu won a Top-8 Medal in Y-14 Women’s Foil. Grace Feng, Amabel Wang, Henry Zhang. Brendan Lee, William Gerrish, and Alexandra Wong achieved Top-16 placements.

King of Prussia, PA (April, 2021) - Saber students of Tim Morehouse Fencing Club competed in the American Challenge RYC/RJCC, a jam packed two-day tournament at Valley Forge Casino Resort. Tim Morehouse Saber fencers achieved 15 medal-wins throughout the tournament. Notably, William Morrill, Aram Clark, and Robert Wang achieving Gold Medals, Chelsea Delsoin and Enzo Bera winning Silver Medals, and Fiona Neibart, Brynnley McKee, and Nazir Primus achieving Bronze Medals.

Our fencers brought home seven Top-8 Medals as well. Top-8 Medals were achieved by Adele Bois and Catalina Berrios in Women’s and Justin Morrill, Aram Clark, Aster Oh, Yahor Lahotska, and Gabriel McCarthy in Men’s competitions.

A spectacular competition was had for TMFC Fencers. Way to go!

Tim Morehouse Fencers Achieve Two Top-64 Results at the Luxembourg World Cup

Luxembourg, Luxem (March, 2020) - TMFC Fencers Jonah Shainberg, Ziad Elsissy, and Rafael Western competed in the Luxembourg World Cup. The competition took place at the National Fencing Center and the sports complex of the Lycée de Garçons Luxembourg. 173 individual international fencers competed, as well as teams from 24 countries.

Our fencers competed in Senior Men’s Saber, and achieved two Top-64 results. Jonah Shainberg came in 51st place out of 170 fencers, and Ziad Elsissy came in 59th place. Additionally, Rafael Western came in 133rd place out of 170 fencers.

On the same weekend, TMFC Fencer Fatima Largaespada travelled to Athens for the Athens World Cup to compete in Senior Women’s Saber. She came in 145th place out of 198 fencers.

New York, NY (March, 2020) - Tim Morehouse Fencing Club held its second tournament of the season, the Tim Morehouse Fencing Club E and Under. The tournament took place at our Manhattan location, and featured Open Men’s and Women’s Saber events. Tim Morehouse Fencers won two Gold Medals, one Silver Medal, and four Bronze Medals.

TMFC Coaches Diana and Luka supported the tournament as referees, alongside elite fencers Madison Four-Garcia and Fiona Niebart. Coach Melvin and Diana Mitova, the manager of our Port Chester location, formed the Bout Committee for the tournament.

In Open Women’s Saber, Scotland Jenkins won a Gold Medal, and Zayneb Saad and Tiara Masso both won Bronze Medals. In Open Men’s Saber, Alpha Balde won a Gold Medal, and Eric Ruiz won a Silver Medal. Mahammadou Tunkara and Jamie Sussman both won Bronze Medals in this category.

New York, NY (March, 2019) - Tim Morehouse Fencing Club held it’s first tournament of the year, the Tim Morehouse Youth Cup. This was a great first tournament for new students as well as a great tournament for students who have started to compete and wanted to gain more experience. The Tim Morehouse Youth Cup was organized and run by Diana Mitova, the manager of TMFC’s Port Chester location.

TMFC Fencers achieved great results at this tournament, winning Four Gold Medals, Four Silver Medals, and eight Bronze Medals. The club’s coaching staff came together to support our fencers throughout the tournament. Coaches Diana, Lancelot, Maksim, Carlos, and Kendall acted as referees, as well as our elite fencers Nicka and Yahor.

In Y-12 Mixed Saber, Enzo Bera won a Gold Medal, and Gabriel Clark won a Silver Medal. Aster Oh and Kevin Gu won both won Bronze Medals.

Morgan So won a Gold Medal in Youth-8 Mixed Saber, and Timothy Chang won a Silver Medal. Miles Chambers and Elijah Roper won Bronze Medals in this category.

In Youth-10 Men's Saber, Ryan Waxler won a Gold Medal, and Alexander Fadel won a Silver Medal in Youth-10 Men's Saber. Aster Oh and Nicolas Nordgren both won Bronze Medals.

In Y-10 Women’s Saber, Catalina Berrios won a Gold Medal, and Madeleine Eng won a Silver Medal. Rachel Krieger and Pompie Yannopoulos won Bronze Medals.
