Welcome Elite Saber Coach Maksim Lahotska to Tim Morehouse Fencing Club!

We are very excited to announce the hiring of Elite Saber Coach Maksim Lahotska!

Maksim’s first day was Friday, January 31 in Port Chester and he has already started making a big impression on our students. He will be coaching full-time at our Port Chester location and If you’re interested in lessons, please email info@timmorehousefencing.com

BIO:
Maksim is a world renowned coach and referee who has trained Olympians and World medalists while also being called upon to referee gold medal matches at multiple Olympic Games.

His resume includes nearly a decade as the National and Olympic Coach of the Republic of Belarus. Some of his career coaching highlights include capturing the Silver Medal in the team event at the 2011 World Fencing Championships in Catania, Italy and his student Aleksandr Buikevich took an individual bronze medal at the World Fencing Championships in 2012 held in Legnano, Italy. In addition, his student Misha Akulo took 5th place in the Cadet World Championships in Baku and 4th place at the Youth Olympic Games in Singapore in 2010.

In 2004 and 2012, he took part in the Olympic Games in Athens, Greece and London, England, respectively, as FIE Referee where officiated the gold medal matches. Maksim was also appointed as a FIE referee at World Champions in 2005, 2009, 2010, 2011.
