Tokyo Olympian and Harvard Saber Coach Eli Dershwitz to Lead TMFC Winter Saber Camp

New York, NY (Nov, 2021) — Eli Dershwitz, Harvard saber coach and the top-ranked saber fencer in the USA, is joining Tim Morehouse Fencing Club’s 6th Annual Winter Saber Camp.

From December 26 through December 30, saber fencers of all levels will train from 11am-to-4pm daily. Camp will be at the Manhattan location on December 26 and the Port Chester location for the rest of the week.

The camp is appropriate for both youth and older students as they will be grouped differently, depending on the activities. The camp will include footwork, tactical and strategic drills as well as bouting and more.

Dershwitz will be joined by Tokyo Olympian Ziad Elsissy, Hungarian National Team Member Kata Varhelyi along with Olympic Silver Medalist and TMFC Founder Tim Morehouse and the rest of the TMFC coaching staff. In addition, there will be special surprise guests from around the country joining in.

Dershwitz is a two-time Olympian (Tokyo, Rio de Janeiro) and is training for the Paris 2024 Olympic Games. Until then, he is coaching at Harvard and will join Tim Morehouse Fencing Club for camps and clinics throughout the season. Dershwitz is the top-ranked fencer in the world and was an NCAA Champion while attending Harvard University.
