Monroe Township, NJ (Oct 16-17, 2021) — It was a clash to remember.
Tim Morehouse Fencing Club showed much of its might at the Jersey Clash RYC/RJCC this weekend, emerging with an impressive amount of saber medals.
Shaun Kim led the top performances, winning gold in Cadet Men’s Saber and earning a C21 rating in the process. In 25th place after pools, Kim methodically worked his direct elimination bouts, beating fencers in eighth place, 24th place, first place, and fourth place before easily taking out 23rd place for the gold.
Madison Duckett also showed what she was made of, earning silver in Cadet Women’s Saber. Her trip to the finals was smooth after placing first after pools. The battle for gold was hard-fought, with her final bout 15-13.
Congratulations fencers!
