New York, NY (June 14, 2021) — Under pressure to wrap the season up on a good note, fencers made trips to competitions near and far to get those last few tournaments completed.
On the near side, foil fencer Charles McGillion-Moore traveled for the Way of the Sword tournament in Ridgefield CT. His commute was rewarded — he won a bronze medal in Y-12 mixed foil.
On the far side, saber fencers Nazir Primus and Inkosi Brou traveled to the Chicago area for the Windy City SYC at the Berto Center in Deerfield, IL.
It was worth the trip. Primus earned 8th place in Y-12 men’s saber and Inkosi earned 6th place in both Y-14 men’s saber and cadet men’s saber.
Congratulations fencers!
