New York, NY/Port Chester, NY/Stamford, CTT (June - July - August 2021) — So many camps to choose from, so many weeks still remaining.
Midway through summer camp season, Tim Morehouse Fencing Club camps are getting better and better.
In Manhattan, Coach Fraser is teaching small groups the basics of fencing each week in activities that are meant to instill a love of conditioning and drills in each young mind. Each week of camp ends with a tournament that consists of bouts that get more competitive with each successive week.
Olympian Ziad Elsissy has returned from Tokyo to rejoin TMFC to lead saber camp at TMFC Port Chester for the second half of the summer.
Also at Port Chester, Coach Dan is leading foil camps that include activities like footwork and hand-eye coordination drills, situational bouting, actual bouts where the fencers combine all the skills they’ve acquired, and then stretching. As Coach Dan says: “Every good athlete should end with stretching.”
Epée camps are off to a smashing start at TMFC Chelsea Piers in Stamford CT. Led by Coach Ahmed, the inaugural week of camp included young fencers of a range of ages.
