TMFC Fencers Earn Medals at the Boston RYC/RCC

Boston, MA (September 3-6, 2021) — Tim Morehouse Fencing Club fencers skipped the tea and had a medal party at the Boston Fencing Club RYC/RCC.

In almost every event TMFC fencers participated in, they came out on the medal stand.

Y-12 Men’s Saber was dominated by Morehouse fencers with Ethan Kim taking gold, Aram Clark taking silver, Samuel Kietlinski taking bronze and Connor Chung (8) joining in on the medal stand.

Tim Morehouse was pleased by the boys’ performance and said, “most importantly, all the boys fenced hard, with spirit and supported each other throughout the day.”

Y-14 Men’s Saber had similar domination. Gabriel McCarthy took gold while teammates Inkosi Brou (6) and Nazir Primus (7) joined him on the medal stand.

Veronika Gonzalez attended her first RYC competition, earning a silver medal right out of the gate.

Ainsley McKee, a cadet saber fencer, won a bronze medal and earned a rating — E21 — which is rare this early in the season.

Brendan Lee earned silver in Y-12 Men’s Foil, and William Gerrish (7) also medaled. Yifei Li took bronze in Y-12 Women’s Saber. Grace Feng earned silver in Y-10 Women’s Foil. Brynnley McKee earned bronze in Y-14 Women’s Saber and teammate Coco Guven (8) joined her on the medal stand.
