Y-8 gold medalist Anika von Marie Kabiling

Metuchen, NJ (November 19-20, 2022) — Tim Morehouse fencers earned an impressive 28 medals at the American Challenge RYC/RJC/Y-8.

Brynnley McKee earned gold in Y-14 Women’s Saber. Her teammate Sofia Schaible joined her on the medal stand in seventh place.

McKee had a double medal weekend. Her second came in Junior Women’s Saber where she placed sixth, just behind her sister Ainsley McKee in fifth. Ainsley also earned her D22 rating.

Y-10 Men’s Saber was a win for TMFC. Aidan Song took gold, Lucas Lee was in sixth place, Marcus Avery in seventh and William Lucas rounded it out in eighth place.

Robert Wang took silver in Junior Men’s Saber.

TMFC had a strong showing in Y-12 Women’s Saber. Sienna Young earned bronze. Emma Fadel made it to fifth place, Charlotte Choi was in sixth place and Anna Willer rounded out the stand in eighth place.

Miles Chambers earned bronze in Y-12 Men’s Saber. Grace Feng earned bronze in Y-12 Women’s Foil.

Michael Grigoriev came out with bronze in Y-10 Men’s Foil, while teammate Haochen Yu earned a fifth-place medal.

Ethan Chen took seventh in Y-12 Men’s Foil. Selena Zhang took seventh in Y-14 Women’s Foil. Veronika Gonzalez fought it out to take seventh place in Y-12 Women’s Saber. Leon Shapiro earned eighth place in Y-14 Men’s Foil.

In Y-8 Women’s Saber, TMFC fencers dominated the field of 10 fencers. Anika von Marie Kabiling took gold, Chloe Chen, silver and Katherine Ong took bronze. Rounding out the medal stand were Cecilia Francis in seventh place and Grace Chang in eighth.

In Y-8 Men’s Saber, Francis Jia earned a fifth-place medal. And in Y-8 Women’s Epée, Lily Abdallah earned an eight-place finish, carrying on a great family tradition (her dad is Coach Ahmed).
