Tim Morehouse Fencers Earned Saber and Foil Medals at the April NAC

Charlotte, NC (April 21-24, 2022) — It was a weekend of wins, ratings earned and great strides made in the quest for national points.

Eli Dershwitz led the good news on Thursday, winning gold in the Division I Men’s Saber National Championship, earning his A22 rating in the process.

Madison Duckett earned her first top-16 finish in Junior Women’s Saber, coming in 11th. She also earned her B22 rating.

Shaun Kim kept it coming on Friday, winning bronze in Cadet Men’s Saber. Foilist Christina Ferrari cracked the top-eight, winning sixth place in Division I Women’s Foil and earning her A22 rating.

Duckett was back in fine form Saturday, placing fifth in Cadet Women’s Saber and upgrading to an A22 rating, two days after winning her B.

Sabrina Fang, one of Canada’s top-rated foil fencers who trains at Tim Morehouse Fencing Club in Port Chester, dipped her toes into the saber pool on Sunday, competing in Division II Women’s Saber. And she was rewarded with a 13th place finish and her D22 rating.
