Tim Morehouse Fencing Swept Events at the Integrity RYC

Jersey City, NJ (May 21-22, 2022) — Working hard to the very last touch, Tim Morehouse Fencing Club fencers dominated several events at the Integrity RYC/ROC.

Fencing in the John Moore Athletic Center at New Jersey City University, there were also firsts for the club, which fielded its newest fencers from TMFC in Stamford at Chelsea Piers Connecticut.

Starting with gold, Iris Yang earned it in Y-14 Women’s Foil and her teammates Eleanor Li and Grace Feng each took bronze. Y-12 Women’s Foil fencer Zizi Dai also took gold. In Y-10 Men’s Foil, TMFC fencers Haochen Yu and Michael Grigoriev tool silver and bronze, respectively. Catherine Zhou took sixth place in Division II Women’s Foil.

Veronika Gonzalez led the way for saberists, winning gold in Y-10 Women’s Saber. Tim Morehouse stacked the medal stands in both Y-10 Men’s Saber and Y-12 Men’s Saber. In Y-12, Ethan Kim took silver, Alexander Fadel took fifth, Marcus Pinto took sixth and Samuel Kietlinski took eighth. In Y-10, Royce Zhao took bronze, Alexander Mermagas took fifth, Gabriel Francis took sixth and Aidan Song took seventh.

Timothy Beyer and Coach Ahmed deserve special congratulations. Beyer won a bronze medal in Y-10 Men’s Epée, the first medal won by a male epée fencer at Tim Morehouse.
