Denver, CO (Oct 20-23, 2023) — If the mountain couldn’t come to the Tim Morehouse fencers, it’s sure that the foil and saber fencers would make the trip there.
And it was worth it, as they earned nine medals overall.
Miles Chambers and Royce Zhao led the weekend’s winnings, with each earning double medals. Chambers won gold in Y-12 Men’s Saber and was joined by Vedh Srivats winning silver and Zhao making the medal stand in eighth place. In Y-14 Men’s Saber, Chambers won fifth place and Zhao took seventh place.
The Y-10 Men’s Saber fencers showed up as well, with Maximilian Hagn winning bronze and Leo Shapiro winning fifth place.
Foilist Savannah Li also won bronze in Y-12 Women’s event. In Y-14 Men’s Foil, Kai Toomre made the medal stand in eighth place.
Congratulations fencers, coaches and families.
