New York, NY (Feb 4-5, 2023) — Tim Morehouse Fencing Club fencers have been known to travel far and wide for great fencing.
Y-10 Men’s Saber fencer Aidan Song crossed the country to compete at the Cascade Clash SYC at the Northwest Fencing Center in Oregon. It paid off — he earned a seventh-place medal in Y-10 Men’s Saber, earning national points. He also gained valuable experience, fencing in Y-12 Men’s Saber, where he came in at 46T out of 56 fencers.
Closer to home. U.S. Veteran National Team member Madelon Rosenfeld participated in the Fencer’s Club Veteran Cup on Sunday. This experienced foilist competed in Vet Combined Mixed Foil, coming in 10th place.
At the Manhattan Fencing Tri-State Veteran Saber Cup, women’s vet saber fencer Lisa Marsh competed in a field that included top-rated fencers and one member of the U.S. Veteran National Team. She finished with just a seventh-place medal but saw improvement in her lefty fencing. (She had shoulder surgery two months ago.)
Congratulations, fencers, coaches and families.
