Double medal winner Varvara Mankova
Rocky Point, NY (April 29-30, 2023) — Tim Morehouse fencers took full advantage of the late-in-the-season Jeff Wolfe ROC.
Held at Mission Fencing on Long Island, this ROC was a chance for some to build points, others to qualify for additional events at Summer Nationals and for others to refine fencing strategies.
Varvara Mankova was a two-time medalist — she took seventh place in both Division II Women’s Saber and Division IA Women’s Saber. This win qualifies her for Division IA at Summer Nationals.
Catherine Zhou won silver in Division IA Women’s Foil. In Division II Men’s Saber, Connor Chung earned bronze.
Eleanor Li took eighth place in Division II Women’s Foil. Jonah Lee earned eighth place in Division IA Men’s Foil. Aishwarya Merchant also took eighth place in Division IA Women’s Saber.
