The Young Men at Tim Morehouse Continue Their Domination in Saber at the Neil Lazar RYC/RJCC

New Haven, CT (Sept 23-34, 2023) — The Tim Morehouse men’s saber fencers continue to dominate events, this week at the Neil Lazar RYC/RJCC in New Haven, CT.

TMFC fencers won at least two medals in each of the men’s events starting with Y-10 men’s saber, with Leo Shapiro winning a fifth-place medal and Maximilian Hagn taking sixth place.

In Y-12 men’s saber, Miles Chambers took gold, Royce Zhao took silver and Zihou Dai won sixth place.

In Y-14 men’s saber, Isaac Yook and Aram Clark tied for bronze. Miles Chambers earned fifth place and Ryan Waxler earned seventh place.

Finally, in cadet men’s saber, Gabriel McCarthy took silver with Connor Chung following up in seventh place.

The women’s programs at Tim Morehouse are coming along with more young women competing at the Neil Lazar than have competed anywhere this season. Brynnley McKee won a seventh-place medal in cadet women’s saber, Charlotte Choi won eighth place in Y-12 as did Anika von Marie Kabiling in Y-10 women’s saber.
