New York, Connecticut (May 19, 2024) — As the season ramps up anticipation of Summer Nationals, the local club tourneys also kick into high gear.
Tim Morehouse Fencing Club’s Youth Cup tourneys were held at clubs in Manhattan, Port Chester and for the first time Stamford CT.
The TMFC Spring Epée Tournament was held at TMFC at Chelsea Piers in Stamford, CT on Sunday. In Y-10 Mixed Epée there were three combatants. In order of their finish, it was gold for Trisha Bonde from Rogue Fencing Academy, silver for Wesley Au from Cloak and Dagger Fencing Club and bronze for Emma Caracciolo from Tim Morehouse Fencing Club.
In Senior MIxed Epée, it was a competition. TMFC’s Jessica Dunne won gold, Yale’s William English took silver and Tim Morehouse foilist Selena Zhang switched weapons to earn a bronze medal.
In Manhattan, saberists battled it out at the new East Side location. Fencers competing included:
