Madison, NJ (October 2019) - TMFC Fencers headed to Drew University to compete the American Challenge ROC and RJC, a two-day tournament with 24 events in Foil, Epee, and Saber. They were accompanied by our excellent coaches Diana, Ziad, Lancelot, and Ben.
Our fencers accomplished awesome results, achieving nine medal wins altogether. Our students won two Gold Medals, one Silver Medal, four Bronze Medals, and two Top-8 Medals. TMFC Fencers have been training hard throughout the summer and fall, and it is certainly paying off.
Notably, our fencers won three medals in Vet-Combined Women's Saber, - a historic moment for our Adult Saber program. Lisa Marsh and Seunghee Schulze won Bronze Medals, and Amy Pinto came in 5th, achieving a Top-8 Medal.
TMFC Member and Coach Ziad Elsissy won a Gold medal in Division 1A Men’s Saber. This was his first competition representing Tim Morehouse Fencing Club!
Additionally, Amanda Li earned her C19 and a Bronze Medal in Junior Women's Saber. At just 13 years of age, this is an incredible achievement.
Congratulations everyone!
