May NAC Day 3: TMFC Earned Medals in Cadet Men's Epeé and Foil

Richmond, VA (May 8, 2021) — The Cadet men showed their stuff on Saturday.

Henry Zhang led the way with a bronze medal in Cadet men’s foil. His teammate Nickolas Rusadze finished in the top-32, earning 26th place.

In Cadet men’s épeé, Nowell Gibson made the medal stand, taking fifth place.

Men’s Cadet saber saw two fencers make the top-64 — William Morrill at 49 and Shaun Kim at 55.

In the women’s Div 1 events, there were no medals by there were some solid performances in events that were dominated by the newly minted Olympic team members.

In women’s Div 1 saber, Chelsea Delsoin just missed making the top-32 at 35th place. She was joined in the top-64 by Amanda Li in 39th place, Madison Four-Garcia in 41st place and Adèle Bois in 48th place.

In all, the days events included three men’s Cadet events and three women’s Div 1 events.

Action at the May NAC ran from Thursday, May 6 through Sunday, May 9, 2021 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Events contested include Division I, Junior, Cadet and Y14 in all three disciplines: épeé, foil and saber.
