Richmond, VA (May 9, 2021) — Women’s saber fencers finished strong to add to the Tim Morehouse Fencing Club medal totals.
Madison Four-Garcia made the medal stand in her final event of the May North American Cup, Junior women’s saber. She placed sixth, earning her career first Junior medal as well as her A21 rating. Also in Junior WS, Chelsea Delsoin and Amanda Li held on to reach the top-32, coming in 24th and 29th, respectively. Adéle Bois, coming in at 56, made the top 64.
Junior men’s saber was a challenge for the TMFC fencers. Nicka Lortkipanidze finished in the top-32 at 17th place and was joined by William Morrill at 21st place.
In junior women’s foil, Christina Ferrari made the top 32, coming in 23rd.
Alexandra Wong made the top-32 in Junior women’s épeé, coming in 24th.
In Junior men’s épeé, Connor Kravit made the top-32, placing 30th. Nowell Gibson made the top 64, placing 63rd.
In all, six Junior events took place on day four.
Action at the May NAC ran from Thursday, May 6 through Sunday, May 9, 2021 at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. Events contested include Division I, Junior, Cadet and Y14 in all three disciplines: épeé, foil and saber.
The June NAC will also be held at at the Greater Richmond Convention Center. From June 4-7, 2021 events contested will include Division I, Junior, Cadet and Parafencing for all weapons.
