Head Foil Coach Slava Grigoriev brings a love of foil fencing to his students at Tim Morehouse Fencing Club that stems from his own love of the sport.
“In my opinion, foil is the most challenging of all three weapons,“ Slava says. “It makes competition interesting.”
He is a two-time Olympian and is recognized as one of the top coaches in the United States today. His passion and dedication to the sport of fencing has helped to create numerous national and international level athletes.
Slava is dedicated to helping his students gain self-confidence, coordination, focus and precision as well as to develop a winning attitude through good sportsmanship in order to realize their full potential as athletes. This season alone, his fencers have regularly been taking top honors at regional and national tournaments.
And it doesn't have to stop at the end of school. “You can fence all your life,” Slava shares.
