Port Chester, NY (June 2, 2021) — Tim Morehouse Fencing Club is hosting its final youth tournament of the season — the Morehouse Saber Youth Finale — at its Port Chester location on Saturday, June 19.
Come compete at Tim Morehouse Fencing Club's state-of-the-art fencing club featuring live-streamed bouts and full-length metal strips.
This competition is designed for young fencers to gain valuable competition experience in a competitive environment. There will be events for men’s and women’s saber fencers in Y-10, Y-12 and Y-14 and a mixed event for Y-8 fencers. Each bout will be overseen by trained referees and medals will be awarded to the top eight fencers.
This tournament is a great option for fencers who have not spent much time competing this season. It allows them to become accustomed to the rhythm of a tournament, going from warm-ups to pool bouts to direct elimination bouts.
It’s a great end-of-season option for fencers who may not be traveling to Summer Nationals in Philadelphia, giving them a grand finale of sorts.
And if your fencer is looking for extra practice before traveling to Summer Nationals, more competition time is always a good idea.
Additional information and registration for the tournament is available on Ask Fred.
