The Morehouse Female Foilists Were on Fire at the Duel of the East Coast

Grace Feng and Savannah Li

Valley Forge, PA (April 16-17, 2022) — Call them young, impressive and best of all, fierce female foilists.

From the Y-10 to the Cadet events, the young women of the Tim Morehouse Fencing Club performed.

Grace Feng took gold in Y-10 Women’s Foil and was joined on the medal stand by teammates Savannah Li with bronze and Amabel Wang in seventh place.

Zizi Dai earned silver in Y-12 Women’s Foil with Amabel Wang taking her second medal of the tourney, fifth place.

For her second medal, Zizi Dai took another silver in Y-14 Women’s Foil.

Cadet Women’s Foil saw Iris Yang win bronze, while the hardest working foil fencer of the weekend — Zizi Dai — took a seventh-place medal.

Also making great strides was Charles McGillion-Moore, who earned a sixth place medal in Y-12 Men’s Foil.

Let’s hear it for our girls! And congratulations to all fencers, coaches and parents.
