Summer Nationals, Day Six: Shaun Kim Earns Bronze in Y-14 Men's Saber

Shaun Kim and the Tim Morehouse Coaches

Minneapolis, MN (July 7, 2022) — At his last Summer Nationals as a Y-14 fencer, Shaun Kim gave it his all.

In return, the Greenwich native earned a bronze medal after a day of grueling pool and direct elimination bouts.

His Tim Morehouse Fencing Club teammates made quite a splash in the crowded field. Robert Wang and Gabriel McCarthy made the top-16, coming in 14th and 15th respectively. Sam Sugiura made the top-64, coming in 45th. Ethan Kim just missed the top-64, coming in 68th.

Congratulations fencers, coaches and parents.
