Minneapolis, MN (July 4, 2022) — Elmsford’s Sabrina Fang is a Summer National medalist.
The foil fencer took fifth place in Junior Women’s Saber in a highly competitive field of 218 fencers. She also earned her A22 rating. Fang is coached by coaches Eddie and Slava Grigoriev at Tim Morehouse Fencing Club in Port Chester.
Her teammates Alina Zhang and Iris Yang both made the top-32 — Zhang at 23 and Yang at 32.
In Senior Team, Men’s Foil, Richard Lin brought home a silver as a member of the team, “Counterattacks Only.”
In Division I Men’s Saber, Shaun Kim toughed it out to make the top-64, coming in at 58.

The 2022 USA Fencing National Championships and July Challenge are taking place at the Minneapolis Convention Center in Minnesota from July 2–11, 2022. More than 4,500 competitors from 45 states and 12 foreign countries are competing in more than 100 events over 10 days. Fencers range from age seven to 84, competing in events that start as Y-10 and run to Veteran-80 with all imaginable categories of age, gender, and weapon in between.
