Metuchen, NJ (Sept 16-17, 2023) — You get a gold, you get a gold and you get a gold.

What’s more, Tim Morehouse Fencing Club saber fencers earned medals of every color at the New Jersey Fencing Alliance RYC/RJCC at the Metuchen Sportsplex last weekend.

Charlotte Choi led the way, taking gold in Y-12 Women’s Saber. She also won bronze in Y-14 Women’s Saber.

Y-12 was a great event for the young men as well. Miles Chambers topped the medal stand and was joined by Royce Zhao in second, Zihou Dai and Alexander Mermegas tied for bronze. William Lucas and Aidan Song rounded out the TMFC winners at sixth and eighth places, respectively.

Connor Chung struck gold in Junior Men’s Saber and was joined by silver medalist Ethan Kim.

And then there were the silver medalists… In Y-10 Women’s Saber, Anika von Marie Kabiling came in second, while Chloe Chen and Anna Willer tied for bronze. Alaia Varah won a fifth-place medal.

Gabriel McCarthy earned silver in Cadet Men’s Saber, with Connor Chung earning his second medal—this time in seventh place.

Ethan Kim’s second silver medal happened in Y-14 Men’s Saber. He was joined on the medal stand by Isaac Yook at fifth, Aram Clark at seventh and Hartigan Deely in eighth place.
