Gerald Wang, Coach Slava and Nickolas Rusadze
Rocky Point, NY (April 23-25) — It was a good weekend for Division 2 fencing.
Foil fencer Gerald Wang topped the haul, winning gold in Div 2 Men’s Foil at the Jeff Wolfe Long Island Challenge ROC Friday. Nickolas Rusadze earned bronze in the same event. Scotland Jenkins won bronze in Div 2 Women’s Saber. Alina Zhang won bronze in Div 2 Women’s Foil.
Top eight medals were earned by Robert Wang in Div 2 Men’s Saber. Alina Zhang brought home a second medal, placing 8th in Div 1A Women’s Foil.
Morehouse foil fencers Henry Zhang (18), Gerald Wang (20) and Nickolas Rusadze (28) all finished in the top 32 in Div 1A Men’s Foil in what was a strong competition.
